Dr. Henry Turcios, a qualified podiatric physician from Arlington, VA, earned his Bachelor of Science at Marymount University and pursued his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. Remaining in Philadelphia, he completed a three-year surgical residency program at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, specializing in forefoot and rearfoot surgery, wound care, trauma, and limb salvage.

Dr. Ekta Patel is a board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon. She is originally from Delaware and received her BA in Biology and Women’s Studies from the University of Delaware. She went on to podiatry school at Temple University. She completed her residency training at Inspira Health Network in New Jersey.

Dr. Patel recognizes the significance of delivering thorough patient care and firmly believes in exploring all non-surgical options before considering surgical interventions. During residency, Dr. Patel was exposed to all aspects of podiatric medicine including sports medicine, wound care, preventive care, limb salvage, and elective and nonelective surgeries. She went on to practice in New Jersey before moving to Virginia.

Dr. Christen Lonas is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ABFAS) in Foot Surgery. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia.

Dr. Zoha Khan is a podiatric physician that is originally from the DMV area. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology. She then attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, earning her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.

Dr. Khan went on to complete her three year surgical residency training at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia where she was exposed to a variety of pathologies and trained in all aspects of podiatric medicine, surgery and wound care.

Dr. Bryan J. Levay is a highly accomplished podiatric physician with a strong commitment to advancing foot and ankle care. As he transitions to his new role at Progressive Feet, he looks forward to bringing his extensive expertise to a dynamic and forward-thinking practice.

Dr. Levay has been serving as an Associate Physician at Dr. Robert A. Breiner and Associates in Annandale, VA, since September 2023.

During his time there, he has made significant contributions to patient care and the practice’s overall success. As he embarks on this new chapter at Progressive Feet, Dr. Levay is enthusiastic about the opportunity to further his impact in a setting renowned for its innovative approach to podiatric care.

Dr. Hufsa Hussan is a board-qualified podiatric physician and reconstructive foot and ankle surgeon. She is a local of DMV area and received Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She received her Doctoral of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her podiatric surgical residency at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she received well rounded training in both elective and non-elective care in forefoot, rearfoot reconstruction, limb salvage as well in wound care.

Dr. Farzad Saleh traces his origins to Iran where he graduated from the prestigious Esfahan Medical University. After graduating medical school with high marks he completed a five year general surgery residency at the well known Iran Medical School of Sciences. He then practiced as a general surgeon in Tehran-Iran and served as the chief of the surgery program, an achievement that only a few have accomplished.

Dr. Ari Changizi is a highly skilled and dedicated foot and ankle specialist, known for his extensive expertise in both conservative and surgical treatments. He is dual board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ABFAS) and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM), providing a wide range of advanced foot and ankle care.

His practice emphasizes patient comfort and seeks to minimize the necessity for surgery through effective conservative management.

Dr. Arons has been practicing for over 30 years and runs our sister office at Springfield Podiatry, Arons and Associates along with Dr. Changizi. The office offers same services as our Oxon Hill/National Harbor location. The office is located at 6217 Old Keene Mill Ct, Springfield, VA 22152

Dr. Chris A. Obiarinze, a first generation Nigerian-American, is a graduate of Temple University where he received his graduate training in podiatric medicine. After graduation, Dr. Obiarinze served as Chief Resident in podiatric trauma and reconstructive surgery at Yale New Haven Health Bridgeport Hospital (Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center) residency program.

He specializes in advanced wound care/diabetic limb salvage, biomechanics, orthotic evaluation, sports medicine, management of foot and ankle injuries and surgery, heel pain-plantar fasciitis, bunion, hammertoes, calluses, fungus infection, warts, ingrown toenails, flat foot deformities, disability medicine, Achilles tendon injury, and pediatric foot problems.

Dr. Farah Siddiqui earned her degree in podiatric medicine from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and then went on to pursue a residency at Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital/Loyola University Medical Center. She is also fellowship-trained in diabetic limb salvage from Georgetown University Hospital. She practiced for over 10 years at George Washington University Hospital. She is passionate about practicing evidence-based, compassionate and cost-effective medicine. She believes in empowering patients through knowledge about their conditions for optimal outcomes.

Doctor Siddiqui will be serving patients at the Woodbridge and Springfield office.

Dr. Daniel Stevens is a podiatric physician focused on high quality, personalized, compassionate medical care. He prioritizes patient education regarding each individual concern to encourage a team approach and maximize the benefits of treatment.

He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan. He completed his three year podiatric surgical residency program at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, New York, where he received extensive training in foot and ankle surgery, trauma, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage. His interests include biomechanical analysis, sports medicine, and treatment of dermatological conditions. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Dick “Rich” Okino is a seasoned podiatric physician specializing in conservative and compassionate care, with a career dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for his patients. With nearly 30 years of experience, Dr. Okino has earned a reputation for his expertise in conservative management using technology as well as routine palliative care.

Raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Okino pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then advanced his education at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, now known as Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and completed his residency.

Dr. Naenifard is a double board certified surgeon in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). He provides professional focus on limb salvage, sports medicine, musculoskeletal deformities, elective surgery and post traumatic reconstruction surgery of the foot and ankle. He has expertise with both conservative and surgical treatment options.

Dr. Naenifard is a native of North Carolina where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology and Master’s of Science in Public Health from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was actively involved in scientific research labs as well as publishing his Master’s thesis. The specialty of podiatry became a newfound passion for Dr. Naenifard resulting from his own experiences throughout playing sports recreationally.

Dr. Naga Akella is a board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon. She grew up in Maryland and received her BA in Biology and Public Policy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Following her undergraduate career, she moved to Philadelphia to attend Drexel University where she received a Masters in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences. She then went on to Podiatry School at Temple University and completed her residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health system.

Dr. Akella is very focused on the delivering patient care that is focused on the needs of each individual patient. Throughout residency, she had exposure to the vast spectrum of treatment options available ranging conservative to surgical, which she intends to utilize on each individual as needed. The residency program offered well rounded, hands on experience across an array of Pediatric Medicine including reconstruction, wound care, sports medicine, trauma and elective surgeries.

She is looking forward to moving back to Montgomery County and joining the Rockville practice to serve her patients.

Dr. Philip Gaspar has been practicing podiatry in the greater Washington, DC metro area for the past 8 years. In 2017 he joined Robert A. Breiner, PC in Annandale, VA, as an associate podiatrist, where he specialized in Diabetic & Geriatric Foot Care. He gained extensive experience serving the senior population at Assisted Living facilities in Northern Virginia, as well as treating patients with physical and mental disabilities in Group Homes. He later expanded his geriatric experience into Maryland when he joined 360care, LLC, serving Nursing Homes throughout the state.

Dr. Gaspar also served as a consulting podiatrist for Mobile Medical Care, Inc, a Federally Qualified Health Center, that offers care to the uninsured and underserved patients in Montgomery County. He provided diabetic and general clinical podiatric care to a diverse group of people in the area, and his Spanish knowledge served as a great asset.

Dr. Umay R. Mughal is a highly skilled and trained podiatrist, originally from New York, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her patients.

She received her Bachelor of Science double major degree at New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, Long Island along side her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from New York
College of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Mughal further advanced her career by finishing a three year podiatric surgical residency
program at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine in Mineola, NY. During her extensive training, Dr. Mughal provided care at a Level-1 Trauma Center and received extensive training in foot and ankle deformities including Charcot neuroarthropathy, diabetic limb salvage, wound care along with elective forefoot cases.

Dr. Dunia Ghazala is a caring and dedicated podiatric physician and surgeon who is passionate about helping her patients. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a three-year surgical residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland, where she trained in all areas of foot and ankle care, including surgery,
wound care, and limb salvage. After practicing in Michigan, Dr. Ghazala moved to Maryland, where she continues to provide personalized, compassionate care to every patient she sees.

Dr. Van is a graduate of Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and completed a three-year surgical residency in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where she served as Chief Resident. She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

During her residency, Dr. Van received extensive training in elective foot and ankle surgery, diabetic foot care, reconstructive surgery, dermatology, and arthroscopy of the foot and ankle.

Fluent in Vietnamese, Dr. Van enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and three children in her free time.

Dr. Pozarny, a native of Buffalo, New York, received his undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University’s Sargent College of Allied Health Professions, Boston, MA. He attended medical school at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA. His senior year of medical school was spent at the USC-LA County Hospital program, and the VA Wadsworth Hospital at UCLA. After graduating in 1982, he completed a 2-year surgical residency at the Monsignor Clement Kern Hospital in Warren, MI.

Dr. Pozarny became a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in 1990 and also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Pozarny is certified in foot and ankle surgery as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Ashley Arzadon is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ABFAS) and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). She grew up in Northern Virginia and was a competitive swimmer from a young age, later becoming a collegiate student-athlete at the University of Tampa, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Early in her career, Dr. Arzadon volunteered with Medical Mission of Mercy USA in 2011, gaining hands-on experience in general and minor surgery while serving communities throughout the Philippines.

Dr. Arzadon earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and completed her residency training at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, New York. There, she received comprehensive training in podiatric medicine, surgery, and wound care.
